Telecommuting Internship for Band Booking Agency
A music entertainment company is diversifying and looking for interns to help establish on a new business paradigm for band booking in the music industry.

Ideal candidates are mature, professional, friendly, self-motivated, driven, focused, passionate, responsible individuals who have strong attention to detail; efficiently research for possible band and venue prospects; effectively multitask; take direction accurately; clearly communicate opportunities, enthusiasm and persuasiveness to prospects and co-workers; prioritize responsibilities; precisely manage the schedules of bands, venues, prospects and agents; meet deadlines; supervise, independently follow-through on duties and understand this is a business not a hobby/side project. Experience directly working with bands and knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Photoshop/Illustrator/Corel Draw for graphic design/photo editing, booking experience and contacts, and possessing a business-savvy nature are preferred, though not mandatory.

Each co-founder (there are three) has an assigned booking region, and assigns direct tasks in terms of what he needs accomplished for the day, or what needs to be done on a weekly basis. Responsibilities include helping find new bands that fit within our strict criteria, updating the company's web site as needed to reflect new additions to our artist roster and added tour dates, logos, band photos, etc., finding venues in areas that they are asked to research, coordinating the scheduling of multiple bands, venues and businesses; creating and dispersing marketing materials to relevant press/blog/social media outlets and follow-up with those outlets and letting us know of a band's touring schedule and availability updates. Internships are unpaid, but could potentially lead to later employment within the company.

Must have reliable phone, internet and computer, have a passion for the business of music, and have good phone etiquette and communication skills.
